IT Strategy event - 24 October 2013

Torsdag, 24. oktober 2013 -
15:00 til 17:00

On the occasion of our launch of the IT Business Transformation Program we, Limeguild and CBS Executive, are pleased to invite to an exclusive executive event on 24 October 2013, from 15:00 - 17:00 at the CBS Executive Building overlooking Frederiksberg Garden, Porcelænshaven 22, 2000 Frederiksberg.

Over the past three or four decades, IT has had an extremely impressive impact on businesses, primarily by providing efficiencies and promoting quality. In this presentation, we suggest that this tremendous success to-date is only the first wave of IT-based business value creation, and that a historic second wave is now underway and could, ultimately, be even bigger. The good news: this means IT is far from played out as a relevant factor in business. The bad news: Our management approaches to IT, honed within the first wave, fit poorly with the second wave. To do well in our businesses, and in our careers, we're going to need to remake ourselves as IT leaders.

We have the pleasure of presenting Professor Robert Austin from Copenhagen Business School as of keynote speaker at the event. Robert Austin is currently a Professor in Management of Creativity and Innovation at CBS and have a longstanding international career in academia and businesses around the world:

  • Chair of the World Class Harvard Exec program for CIOs for more than a decade
  • Co-author of the best-selling Harvard Business Press IT management book, Adventures of an IT Leader
  • Co-author of recently published sequel to Adventures, called Harder Than I Thought, also published by HBR Press, 2013
  • Professor of Management of Creativity and Innovation at CBS, and co-author of The Soul of Design, Stanford University Press, 2012
  • Teacher on executive education in IT management around the world, including, for example, at Harvard and at the Nomura School of Advanced Management (Tokyo), where he works in partnership with Peter Weill (Center for Information Systems Research, MIT)

At the event, Limeguild and CBS Executive will also launch our latest development: IT Business Transformation Program
